The Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) has announced that, with the support of the US Embassy in the Republic of Serbia, it is awarding the Investigative Journalism Award for the fifteenth year in a row, which will, this year, be named after the distinguished journalist Dejan Anastasijevic.

The award is presented in three categories - electronic media (radio and television), print media and online media.

The authors of articles published in the media in Serbia from March 5, 2019 to March 20, 2020 may apply for the award.

The application deadline is March 20, 2020. The articles can be submitted by the author, his/her editor or his/her colleague.

The award is given for investigative journalistic work, which deals with themes of great importance to the citizens of the territory in which the media is distributed, broadcast or used, which discover and prove unknown facts that journalists have reached through their own work.

Winners in all three categories will be awarded with 100,000.00 dinars each.

NUNS will announce which papers have been nominated at least one week before the awards ceremony is held on May 3, which is the World Press Freedom Day.
