Saip Kamberi, the mayor of Bujanovac, said that he expected the evaluation of the conditions for obtaining the certificate of being a municipality with favorable business environment would be completed by next June, which would provide the conditions in Bujanovac for a faster economic development. He said that in the coming period, the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), along with the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, would be evaluating the quality of the environment for conducting business operations, investment possibilities and the initiative for attracting investments, which are the preconditions for getting the certificate.

„There are specific criteria for getting the certificate for having the environment that is favorable for conducting business operations. Also evaluated are the administrative operations, the accessibility of administration to businessmen, as well as tax rates. I expect that the municipality of Bujanovac should meet the criteria and would get the certificate by next June, “Mr. Kamberi said.

Mr. Kamberi is one of 18 mayors who signed in Indjija the agreement on getting the certificate of being a municipality with favorable conditions for conducting business operations. The aforesaid mayors signed the agreement with NALED, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA). So far, the municipalities of Indjija, Loznica and Kragujevac managed to obtain the certificate, while the municipalities of Subotica, Vranje, Leskovac, Uzice and Prokuplje are in the process of getting it.
