NO OBJECTIONS TO MIGRANTS IN PRESEVO

18. November 2015.

Presevo- Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja told reporters that there hadn’t been any incidents caused by migrants until then and that, even in light of recent developments, none of the local population had any objections to them.

Mr. Stankovic said that the local population wasn’t dissatisfied, because they were familiar with the situation of the people fleeing war.

“It seems to me that the locals are trying to help in a way that it is possible to do so", says Mr. Stankovic.

According to him, the city has been cleaned, there is less garbage on the main street, and the refugees continue to be taken care of according to standard procedures.

Speaking of the visit of Prime Minister Vucic and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres, he said that the aim of the visit was being able to solve the problem of refugees in a better way.

“I expect that better conditions for refugees will be provided after their visit”, Mr. Stankovic said.
