NEW LIGHTING IN BUJANOVAC

19. November 2019.

Bujanovac – The installation of LED lighting started in Bujanovac, which was first obtained by Kralja Milutina Street, followed by part of Josif Janjic Street and a few streets around the main one, which were left for the final stage of installation works.

A total of 900 light bulbs will be installed, as well as a new lighting management system, and according to Rahim Salihi, the Head of the Development and Investments Department in the municipality of Bujanovac, the entire project is worth 44 million dinars without VAT, 18 million dinars of which is from the EUPRO program, while the rest is financed from the budget.

“The installation of new lighting will not only make the city look brighter and nicer, but we will also save 40 percent on it, which is not a small amount given that we pay 20 million dinars per year to the Electric Power Industry of Serbia for lighting costs“, Mr. Salihi said.

"We are doing everything we can to make Bujanovac a nice place for all of us to live in," Mr. Salihi said, adding that the citizens could change some of their habits as well.

"Each of us, when he/she goes to another city, he/she throws even a cigarette butt in the bin, which is not the case here," Mr. Salihi said.
