NATIONAL TEAM FOR THE REVIVAL OF VILLAGES IN SERBIA: IT IS WORTH INVESTING IN POULTRY FARMS

Belgrade - The National Team for the Revival of Villages in Serbia called on returnees from abroad and all other interested citizens to invest in poultry farming, establish agricultural farms and join specialized poultry cooperatives.

The Co-President of the National Team for the Revival of Villages in Serbia, Minister Milan Krkobabic, says that investing in poultry can be profitable.

The main advantage of poultry production is that it is established relatively quickly, with one-day old chicks or the procurement of egg-laying hens, and can be organized as needed.

Minister Krkobabic especially emphasizes that we can increase the production of poultry farming and reduce imports only if poultry meat and egg producers unite.

“The mutual association of producers in specialized poultry cooperatives, especially of producers and processors, gives the right answers to all modern economic challenges, and the same is true in poultry production, "said the Minister.

The farm can provide the economic existence of its members by producing eggs, for which from 5,000 to 10,000 egg - laying hens are necessary.

It is recommended to purchase 18-week-old egg-laying hens, the price of which is around five euros per hen.

The return of invested funds is possible at the end of the second and during the third production year or the season, experts point out.

In addition to the basic conditions for poultry breeding, it is necessary to have basic professional knowledge, which can be gained by professional consulting and counseling, as well as by the procurement of professional literature and technological instructions.

Expert visits to successful poultry farms will be organized for all interested persons.

Poultry cooperatives will be able to apply for incentive funds within the project of the renewal of cooperatives "500 Cooperatives in 500 Villages".
