MUNICIPALITY OF BUJANOVAC PAID SCHOLARSHIP MONEY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Bujanovac - On Friday, December 25, the municipality of Bujanovac paid 24,000 dinars to secondary school students for scholarships for the four months of the first half of the school year.

As in previous years, the scholarships for 124 secondary school students were provided by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, in the total amount of 2.97 million dinars.

“Each scholarship holder will have 24,000 dinars in his/her account today”, the local self-government stated.

It was said earlier that the scholarships would continue to be provided in the second half of the school year if the money for them was ensured.

The final ranking list of scholarship winners was published on December 9, and out of a total of 124 scholarship holders, 103 are students of the "Sezai Suroi" secondary school in Bujanovac. The other secondary school in the city, "Saint Sava", has seven scholarship holders. The remaining 14 scholarship winners study in Vranje and Presevo.

The scoring of candidates is done on the basis of family income, while students without one or both parents get additional points, and success achieved in school brings another 10 to 15 points.
