MR. MUSLIU: THERE WON’T BE ANY LAYOFFS IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac - Jonuz Musliu, the President of the Municipal Assembly of Bujanovac, said that there would be no layoffs in the local self- government in Bujanovac under the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the maximum number of employees in the local self-governmental system, because that municipality, according to the prescribed criteria, had the right to employ nine more workers.

Mr. Musliu said at the meeting of the Municipal Assembly of Bujanovac that the municipal administration and the public enterprises founded by the municipality employed 498 workers, and that, according to the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government on the maximum number of employees in the municipality of Bujanovac, the municipality of Bujanovac should have 507 employees.

The maximum number of employees is determined in local self-government on the basis of the number of residents, the number of settlements, the total area and the usage of minority languages ​​in the municipalities, where it is necessary.
