MP MITROVIC: "YUMCO" OPENS ITS PLANT IN BUJANOVAC IN A MONTH’S TIME

24. March 2017.

Bujanovac – According to the announcement made by Nenad Mitrovic, an MP in the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia, the initiative to open a “Yumco” plant in Bujanovac should get off the ground in about a month’s time.

He also said that around thirty workers, who opted for working in the textile industry, were being trained at the "Yumko" plant in Vranje from February 1 of this year.

“I am grateful to the “Yumco” management and to Dragan Stevanovic, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy, for having understood our initiative and the needs of Bujanovac. I expect that the training of future textile workers will be completed next month. In the meantime,  we will set up the necessary machinery in the future plant in Bujanovac. Although there are several options for renovating the existing industrial facilities in our community, we are currently talking about the possibility of setting up the plant on the premises of the former battery plant "Svetlost" in Bujanovac," MP Mitrovic said.

MP Mitrovic said that another group of workers should, in the foreseeable future, be trained for the jobs of textile workers, so that the newly opened "Yumco" plant in Bujanovac could begin operating in two shifts.
