Ministry of Culture and Information - Funding and Co-Funding of Projects in the Field of Digitization of Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Art (Deadline: February 2, 2018)

The Office for the Development of Digital Research Infrastructure in the field of culture and arts of the Ministry of Culture and Information announced a competition for the financing or co-financing of projects in the field of digitization of cultural heritage and contemporary art in the Republic of Serbia in 2018.

Specific objectives of the competition:

Improvement of digital methods and techniques for recoding, storing and analyzing the digitized presentation of cultural heritage and contemporary art;

Provision of a systemic, high-quality and uniform approach to digitized material;

Contribution to national and international networking of digitized cultural heritage and contemporary art;

Development of advanced digital platforms, applications, tools and digital services for long-term projects of digitization of cultural heritage and contemporary art, and the use of new technologies by the institutions and other participants in the digitization process in the field of culture;

Processes in the field of presentation, protection and production of digital creative materials (according to the UNESCO Charter on the Protection of Digital Heritage);

Acquiring new knowledge and skills by participants in the digitalization process;

Intensive work on promoting digitization to both participants in the process and the general public;

Digitization and networking of cultural heritage and contemporary art of the Serbian minority-diaspora with the institutions and other participants in the digitalization process in the Republic of Serbia;

Expansion and creation of new audiences, or the user population.

Eligible to apply are: institutions, artistic and other associations registered for undertaking cultural activities, legal entities operating in the field of information and communication technologies, individuals and other entities in the culture field, with the exception of the cultural institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia, which are financed pursuant to Article 74 of the Law on Culture.

Minimum and maximum amount of funds: from 500,000.00 to 2,000,000.00 dinars.
