MINISTER VULIN IN BUJANOVAC: WE DO NOT DIFFERENTIATE AMONG CITIZENS ON THE BASIS OF THEIR FAITH AND NATION

11. May 2017.

Bujanovac - Aleksandar Vulin, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, and representatives of the US humanitarian and development agency CRS visited, yesterday, the Bujanovac Health Center regarding the procurement of a new boiler for the Health Center.

On that occasion, Minister Vulin said that during the migrant crisis, the municipality of Bujanovac, through the mediation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, received the financial assistance amounting to over one million euros. He also said that the Government of the Republic of Serbia did not divide the citizens of Serbia into Serbs and Albanians.

Minister Vulin said that over 17 million dinars had been earmarked in the budget of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs for the operation of the soup kitchen during the year, and that the same was done over the past two years.

“Over the past two years, a total of over 10 million dinars were given for special-purpose transfers, community services, financial assistance for disabled children, the elderly and assisted living caregivers,” Minister Vulin said.

He said that he was hurt by the behavior of the President of the Municipal Assembly of Bujanovac Jonuz Musliu, who wanted to threaten the good relations between Serbs, Albanians and Roma and who wanted them to become part of some "Greater Albania", which neither Albanians nor Serbs from Bujanovac had requested.

"We do not divide the citizens of Serbia into Serbs, Albanians and Roma, or on the grounds of their faith or nation, since we believe that all citizens are the same and all of them deserve equal attention and protection," the Minister said.

Minister Vulin said that that was absolutely unacceptable and that such aspirations must be put to rest.
