MEMBERS OF OUR PEACE MISSION IN CYPRUS TRAINED IN THE „JUG“ BASE NEAR BUJANOVAC

18. September 2014.

37 soldiers, including four girls, set off from Kuršumlija today to a six-month peacekeeping mission in Cyprus. Their task will be to provide security of the facilities located at the border between the Turkish and Greek parts of the island. This is the seventh group of the Serbian soldiers that has joined the peacekeeping mission in Cyprus, while all of them had previously undergone training and testing of their capabilities at the „Jug“ base near Bujanovac.

On that occasion, the Chief of Staff, Gen. Ljubisa Diković, said that our soldiers truly represented the Army and the citizens of the Republic of Serbia in the best possible way not only in the mission in Cyprus, but also in all of our missions around the world.
