MEDVEDJA SIGNED WITH THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND SPORTS AN AGREEMENT ON THE PROJECT "TOGETHER IN SPORTS"

Medvedja - The municipality of Medvedja applied to the Ministry of Youth and Sports with a new project that the local self-government would implement in the field of youth policy.

It is the project "Together in Sports", the goal of which is to target the problem of insufficient physical activity of children and youth in Medvedja, to solve the problem of quality use of free time, as well as to cherish healthy and safe lifestyles.

“The project also includes mothers, who are not able to do sports, because they have nowhere to leave their children in that period. This project makes it possible for them to attend trainings together with their children. The plan envisages the engagement of two fitness instructors, one of whom is a pedagogue and the other a teacher of physical education, who will work with young people and children in parallel. The trainings will be attended once a week by a physiotherapist, who will provide useful advice to the children who attend corrective gymnastics classes, "said Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja.

Funds in the amount of 964,690.00 dinars have been approved for the implementation of the "Together in Sports" project, which will be used to equip the fitness center and the children's sports school, as well as to hire the fitness instructors. The equipped sports premises would be managed by the Nikola Tesla” secondary technical school, while the use of the sports premises would be free for all residents of the municipality of Medvedja.
