Medvedja - The President of the Municipality of Medvedja, Nebojsa Arsic, hosted the representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Serbia, Dragan Stefanovic, on the occasion of the completion of the project "Removing Barriers to Promoting and Supporting the Energy Management System in Municipalities in Serbia", which was partly funded by the UNDP.

On that occasion, Mr. Stefanovic was given a symbolic gift - a wall board.

The energy efficiency improvement project is co-financed by the Budget Fund for Energy Efficiency Improvement of the Republic of Serbia and the Global Environment Fund, as part of the international cooperation of the Republic of Serbia, the UNDP, the Ministry of Mining and Energy and the Municipality of Medvedja.

The local self-government of the municipality of Medvedja was then recognized as one of the leaders in terms of introducing an energy management system and was rewarded with financial support through grants for energy rehabilitation of the heating system and a new boiler room.
