MEDVEDJA INTRODUCED AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, CLOSED THE KINDERGARTEN

Меdvedja - The Crisis Staff of the Municipality of Medvedja made a decision to introduce an emergency situation in the entire territory of the municipality due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation, which came into force on Friday, November 27, "said the Crisis Staff Commander Nebojsa Arsic. He also said that the “Mladost” preschool institution, where the first corona virus sufferers emerged during the second wave, would be closed until further notice.

“The introduction of the emergency situation will mean more rigorous adherence to measures and more rigorous control by the competent bodies. We followed the recommendations of the Hygiene Institute and stepped up disinfection. Also, celebrations are forbidden, masks are obligatory, as well as compliance with all the measures that were adopted at the state level", Mr. Arsic said.

According to him, 134 people have been infected with the corona virus in that municipality since the beginning of the epidemic or from March until today. Those are mostly cases with a milder clinical picture, so that there have not been any death cases so far.

“We have a lot of cases where the entire families are infected, and we think that the celebrations of family Patron’s Saint Days led to that, while the sudden increase in the number of infected people started on November 14, "said the Commander of the Staff and the President of the Municipality, Nebojsa Arsic.

In the first wave of the corona virus, Medvedja, along with Crna Trava, was the municipality with the fewest number of sick inhabitants, while 54 sick persons were recorded during the past week.
