MAYOR ARSIC VISITED THE POLICE OPERATING IN THE FIELD

Medvedja – Over the past week, Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, visited the police checkpoints along the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija, or those in Sponce and Medevce, and in an open talk with members of the police found out what the situation in the field was like.

„Despite the difficult working conditions, extremely cold weather and separation from their families and homes, these people are not downhearted. Upon considering the major problems they are faced with in the area in which they work, it may be said that the accommodation conditions are satisfactory, but that it is necessary to improve them, "said Mayor Arsic, pointing out that they had not had any major problems in the municipality until then, or other situations with which their police would deal.

Mayor Arsic said that the current situation in Medvedja was stable, as it was in the previous period, noting that the police had helped them many times in emergency situations caused by a heavy rainfall.

“Last year, we had an emergency situation caused by huge snow drifts. The army and the police used their vehicles to visit remote households and deliver Red Cross’ food and medicine to them. I can only proudly say that we have excellent cooperation with them, which we will keep and further improve, "Mayor Arsic said.
