22. December 2016.

Bujanovac – Marko Cadez, the Head of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, met in Bujanovac with representatives of the local self-governments and the companies from Bujanovac and Presevo and talked with them about the production and export plans, as well as about the Chamber of Commerce’s support to the economic development of South Serbia.

Saip Kamberi, the Mayor of Bujanovac, said that the aim of the meeting was job creation and the pulling out of those places from the zone of underdeveloped areas.

“The capacities that exist in Bujanovac and Presevo need a little more attention from the local self-governments and the state, and they might be sufficient to allow the two municipalities to continue developing sufficiently, "Mr. Kamberi said.

“This is an initial and informative meeting for all the attendees, and I expect that it would improve the coordination of the chambers of commerce and businessmen, "Mr. Arifi said.

Thanking the Mayors of Bujanovac and Presevo for the hospitality and the realization of the meeting, Mr. Cadez said that that was the day when they had to hear the needs of entrepreneurs and how the Chamber could help them perform better and find better business opportunities.

“Coming from Belgrade, I had the opportunity to see the finalization of works on the highway, and once that big project is completed, it will be a huge chance that will change the economic picture of the region, "Mr. Cadez said.

He said that as of January 1, 2017, all chambers of commerce would be included in a single system of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which had not been the case until then, because parallel regional Chambers of Commerce existed.

“Now we will be able to improve the operation of the office in Bujanovac, as well as to open an office in Presevo, so that could better work together.  There is a possibility of organizing a presentation of the businessmen from the region in Pristina as early as in January, and of organizing the Days of Bujanovac and Presevo in Belgrade, Kragujevac and Novi Sad, in February,” Mr.Cadez said.
