LOCAL DEVELOPMENT RESISTANT TO CLIMATE CHANGE

The Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Serbia and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with support of the Global Environment Fund (GEF), are implementing the project "Local Development Resistant to Climate Change." Therefore, local self-governments, business entities from the public and private sectors, civil society organizations, research and academic institutions and individuals are asked to submit their proposals for innovative solutions to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) and combat climate change.

The project "Local Development Resistant to Climate Change" starts two challenges of tackling climate change and invites all interested parties to submit proposals for innovative solutions that will contribute to the reduction of GHG emissions in a practical fashion and strengthen the resilience of communities to climate change, as well as to develop, finance and implement those solutions.

The maximum amount per member (in dinars):

1. The Open Data Challenge
The selected solutions will be awarded a cash prize of up to 10,000 USD - for cities (five cities) and up to 5,000 USD - for municipalities (five municipalities).

2. The Innovative Solutions Challenge

5,000 USD for individuals

10,000 USD other organizations and institutions

Deadline for submissions:

1. The Open Data Challenge until 28/02/2018

2.The Innovative Solutions Challenge until 31/01/2018
