LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH PHOTOS

25. February 2014.

Professional and amateur photographers from South Serbia may participate in the contest for photos that represent the daily lives of people with disabilities.

The competition, which is organized by the "Action and Help" Association, in cooperation with the Media Research Center in Nis, is open until March 20.

The competition for the selection of the best 40 photos, which will be displayed at the exhibition in Nis in late March, includes the photos taken by a camera or mobile phone.

“The competition is aimed at removing barriers in our heads, at showing disability as something not to be ashamed of and run away from, and at exhibiting to the general public the problems that these people face in their everyday lives", the organizers said.

The photos should be digital and in JPG format, while their size should range from 200 KB to 5 MB, and they should be e-mailed to akcijaipomoc@gmail.com, including  the author’s name, surname and phone number.

Participants in the contest may submit an unlimited number of photos, provided they were taken by them.
