Bujanovac, Presevo – A group of almost 70 journalists from several Albanian cities, organized by the Association of Journalists led by Aleksandar Cip, the President of the Association of Journalists of Albania, visited Bujanovac and Presevo over the weekend in order to meet with their colleagues and political leaders of local Albanians.

“This was not an accidental arrival. Our colleagues from Bujanovac and Presevo, Nedzat Behluli and Valon Gasi, organized our arrival as part of the Friendship Day. We are all excited about a visit like this, "said Besim Dibeli, the Head of the Trade Union of the Journalists of Elbasan.

Mr. Behluli, the owner of Bujanovac's TV Spectra, said that the visit "fulfilled his life wish".

The Albanian journalists were briefed on the situation in the two Serbian municipalities by the Mayors Saip Kamberi and Scipim Arifi, while Ilir Bocka, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Serbia, and members of his staff, monitored the visit.

Ragmi Mustafa, the President of the National Council of Albanians, stressed the need for more intensive communication with each other.

Albanian media reported that the border authorities in Serbia had been informed of the arrival of the Albanian delegation and that the border crossing had gone smoothly.

The gathering ended with a festive dinner in Bujanovac, while the Albanian journalists promised the hosts that they would reciprocate for the attention given to them in their articles.
