Invitation to media representatives: SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 206 SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM PRESEVO, BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA

Milan Markovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and Zarko Obradovic, Minister of Education, are going to meet with 206 secondary school students from the said three municipalities in order to award them the Coordination Body’s scholarships. The meeting will take place at the Palace of Serbia – the Eastern Entrance (2, Mihaila Pupina Blvd) at 5 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010.

The Coordination Body will be providing 6,000 dinars per month throughout the current school year to every scholarship holder. The Coordination Body will also ensure that every scholarship holder gets a wind-breaker, while the Post –Office Savings Bank will provide to each and every scholarship holder a lump sum financial assistance amounting to 5,000 dinars.  This is the second time that the Coordination Body awards scholarships to students from these three municipalities, with the aim of improving integration, peace and stability in South Serbia. 

During their visit to Belgrade, the Coordination Body’s scholarship holders are going to meet with Boris Tadic, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, the Head of the National Assembly, and with Dragan Djilas, the Mayor of Belgrade. 

Agenda:

- 11 am Visit to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and a meeting with Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, the Head of the National Assembly (13, Nikola Pasic Square

- 2.45 pm Visit tothe Belgrade City Hall and a meeting with Dragan Djilas, the Mayor of Belgrade, 

- 5 pm Ministers Markovic and Obradovic are going to award scholarships to the students at the Palace of Serbia.
