HIGH JUDICIAL COUNCIL GRANTED GREAT RECOGNITION TO THE BUJANOVAC HOUSE OF JUSTICE

30. October 2017.

Bujanovac – Of over 120 courts in Serbia, the Basic Court in Bujanovac was awarded the third prize for the total number of resolved cases compared to the solved cases in the previous year.

The High Judicial Council granted recognition to the Bujanovac House of Justice at the annual conference of the Serbian judiciary, which was held in Vrnjacka Banja from October 4 to 7.

Bojan Milenkovic, the Court President, says that this is a great recognition for the Basic Court in Bujanovac, which has a total of 11 judges.

"We currently have 8,582 court cases, but we do not have a single court case that is older than five years," Mr. Milenkovic said.

"At the court, where eight Serbian and three Albanian judges work, we set up such an organization of work that we, at any time, know the monthly and annual performance of each and every judge and of the court as a whole,” Mr. Milenkovic stated.

He points out that the turning point in terms of organization of work was putting the archives from 1987 onwards in order, so that any case that came to the Bujanovac court over the past 30 years can be found quickly and easily.

He underlined that the Basic Court in Bujanovac was the first in the Pcinj district that had introduced the "electronic board", which shows to the customers and employees the court hearing rooms, judges and other relevant information.

Bojan Milenkovic has been the President of the Basic Court in Bujanovac since June 2014.
