HANDBOOK FOR CIVIC EDUCATION TEACHERS "CIVIC CLASSROOM - LEARNING ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION AND THE RULE OF LAW"

1. December 2020.

The Civic Initiatives NGO has published a handbook for civic education teachers entitled "Civic Classroom - Learning about Human Rights, Freedom of Expression and the Rule of Law".

The manual was prepared with the aim of supporting teachers of civic education in secondary schools in designing, creating and mastering the concepts of teaching based on project-based learning and research and inspiring them in the application of project-based teaching.

The publication offers a review of useful literature on the topics of human rights, freedom of expression and the rule of law, and teaching preparation as the suggested scenarios for teaching quality classes. The manual was developed as a product of an online seminar to support the teaching of civic education, held during May 2020.

Thanks to the great experience and competencies of the teachers who participated in the seminar, the materials and examples of good practice were developed and singled out and shaped into an online manual.

The manual was developed as part of the Civic Initiatives’ project Civic Education for Human Rights, which is supported by the Australian Embassy under the DAP program.

The manual “Civic Classroom - Learning about Human Rights, Freedom of Expression and the Rule of Law” can be downloaded on https://rc.gradjanske.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Gradjansko-vaspitanje-prirucnik-22-10.pdf
