HALF OF THE PROFIT FROM TICKETS SHOULD BE DONATED FOR REFUGEES

25. September 2015.

Presevo - Representatives of the Youth Office in Presevo proposed to the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Football Association of Albania that half of the earnings from the sale of tickets for the Albania-Serbia football match, which will be played in Elbasan, Albania, on October 8, 2015, should be donated to refugees in Presevo.

“People from Presevo, who are in a hard situation themselves, are asking you to help people who keep arriving in this town on a daily basis and thus show solidarity with them, while such a move would improve the relations between Albanians and Serbs”, it was stated in a letter of the young from Presevo, which was submitted to the “Tanjug” news agency.

Young people explained to the Albanian Prime Minister what the needs of refugees in that area were, and since, as they stated, the said match was perceived as a problematic one, “that should be a very good message to all participants in it”.
