GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA: FURTHER EASING OF STATE OF EMERGENCY MEASURES AS OF TODAY

27. April 2020.

Belgrade - The Government of the Republic of Serbia has reached a decision on easing the measures taken with the aim of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease.

In accordance with the current epidemiological situation, the following changes will take place from Monday, April 27, 2020:

Starting from April 27, indoor markets, hairdressing and beauty salons, beauty parlors, as well as fitness centers and gyms, are allowed to operate.

All the facilities must carry out their activities by using protective equipment (masks, gloves, disinfectants). Due to the nature of the business, specific facilities, such as gyms and fitness centers, have to further enhance the disinfection of their premises and, by special protocols, regulate the way they operate, taking into account the social distance and the number of people inside the facility.

It is recommended that due to restrictions on the number of people, the activities in these facilities should be carried out only on an appointment basis, in order to avoid the gathering of a larger number of people indoors.

Since the May Day holidays are approaching, and with a view to reducing people-to-people contacts, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on banning next week's movements from Thursday, April 30, from 6 pm to Monday, May 4, until 5 a.m.

Citizens over the age of 65 will be able to take an hour’s long walk each day from Monday, April 27, between 6pm and 1am, no more than six hundred meters away from their place of residence.

Stores will be open for senior citizens on Thursday from 4 am to 7 am.
