GOVERNMENT OF SERBIA: AS OF TODAY, ONLY THE CITIZENS WHO HAVE RECEIVED THE INVITATION WILL BE VACCINATED

26. January 2021.

Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja - The Government of Serbia announced that from today, only citizens who had received an invitation from the electronic administration with the date of vaccination would be able to be vaccinated at all vaccination points.

The Government of Serbia announced that "there is no need, nor is it in the interest of public health, for the citizens who do not have a scheduled vaccination appointment to form queues and crowds" because, as it is stated, all citizens will receive the vaccine in accordance with the priority plan.

“This decision has been reached because the number of citizens who did not sign up for vaccination, and come in front of  vaccination points or health institutions to be vaccinated, is increasing every day. We ask the citizens to comply with the signing up procedures and the vaccination itself, because that is the best way for everyone to get their vaccine, according to the established priorities," it was said in the statement.

The Government of Serbia reminded the citizens that they could sign up for vaccination on www.imunizacija.euprava.gov.rs, or by phone, through the Contact Center, on the phone number 0800 222 334, every day from 8 am to 8 pm.

“Finally, we remind all citizens of the Republic of Serbia that regardless of the fact that the vaccine arrived in our country and that we are currently among the leading countries in the world in terms of the number of vaccinated citizens per million inhabitants, the epidemic is by no means over. Regardless of whether we received the vaccine or not, we must wear face masks indoors, take care of hand hygiene, maintain a distance from each other whenever possible and regularly ventilate the premises. By behaving responsibly, complying with the epidemiological measures and scheduled vaccination times, we will reach our common goal the fastest, which is the final victory over the corona virus," it was said in the statement of the Government of Serbia.
