FIRST YEAR OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE "OUR CITY, OUR SCHOOLS" PROJECT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

Bujanovac - The first of the three years of the implementation of the project "Our City, Our Schools", which is carried out by the Coordination Body’s Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, in partnership with the organization "Group 484" and with the support of the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation from Switzerland and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, has been completed.

At the event, which was, on that occasion, held before a packed hall of the Community Center in Bujanovac, secondary school students, who had participated in workshops, had a short theatrical performance – a presentation of Bujanovac from the perspective of young people, which summed up their ideas and creative processes in which they participated during the workshops and on the basis of which a calendar in Serbian and Albanian was made.

The main objective of the project is to create opportunities for the interaction and collaboration between children and adults who belong to different ethnic communities, as well as to enhance cooperation between primary and secondary schools in the municipality of Bujanovac in which teaching is conducted in the Serbian and Albanian languages.

70 teachers and over 100 students of "Sveti Sava", "Sezai Suroi", "Branko Radicevic", "Naim Fraseri", "Vuk S. Karadzic "and" Ali Bektasi " primary and secondary schools took part in the first year of the implementation of the project.
