FIRST MULTI-ETHNIC DANCE HELD IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja - The first multi-ethnic dance "Let's Dance Together," which was organized by the  “Vez“ association and under the auspices of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, was held at the Cultural Center in Medvedja.

Children of the Serbian and Albanian ethnicity, of all ages, jumped over many barriers, overcame many prejudices and demonstrated exceptional virtuosity on the stage with their well-practiced choreographies and movements. The first multi-ethnic dance aroused great interest, so that the hall of the Cultural Center in Medvedja was packed with people.

Bojana Lakusic, the Head of the "Vez" association, emphasized that the association had been working successfully for two years and that it independently organized concerts that were always attended well and supported by the audience. Ms. Lakusic underscored that the association  had participated in various events both in the country and abroad.

Following the concert, thank-you notes were given for the cooperation that the association "Vez" had achieved with numerous institutions, organizations and individuals.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said that the association deserved every support and respect because it preserved tradition and customs.
