FINANCING YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS AGED 18-35, WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS, RETURNEES AND ENTREPRENEURS INVESTING IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Conclusion on the adoption of the Program for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment, for which a total of 300 million dinars of grants had been earmarked.

Given that one of the basic goals of the Government of the Republic of Serbia is systemic support to small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship, the program encourages the financing of young entrepreneurs, aged 18-35, women entrepreneurs, returnees and entrepreneurs investing in the agricultural sector.

Also, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Deposit Insurance was adopted at the session in order to protect the deposits of natural persons, entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized legal entities in case of bankruptcy and liquidation of the bank and in order to preserve the stability of the financial system.

By the proposed amendments, the Government, it was stressed in the statement, tried to additionally reconcile that system with international practices and standards, as well as with the EU acquis, in conditions of stability of the financial system
