Tara Mt. – The School of Friendship, which is organized by the “Our Serbia” humanitarian organization, started with a multiethnic seminar, the beneficiaries of which were children with eight different ethnic backgrounds from the territory of Serbia, such as: Albanian from the village of Tupale near Medvedja, Hungarian from Kanjiza, Rumanian from Nikolinac, Slovak from Backi Petrovac, Ruthenian from Ruski Krstur, Bulgarian from Dimitrovgrad and Bosniak from Brodarevo.

The seminar was on tolerance and cultural differences, while it was aimed at promoting multiculturalism, improving the understanding of diversities and contributing to development of a modern democratic society.

“This part of the project has been implemented under the auspices of the government of the Autonomous Province (AP) of Vojvodina since 2006. It is run by a team of psychologists that is supervised by Zarko Trebjesanin, PhD. During their seven-day on Tara Mt, participants in the seminar take part in educational and creative workshops”, said Gordana Gavrilovic, Head of the School of Friendship.

Participants in the seminar will remember it for entertaining games and a fancy-dress ball, during which the most stylish hairdo was selected, as well as for mixing with other children and new friends.
