ENTRANCE EXAMS ARE BEING TAKEN AT NIS FACULTIES, VACANCIES FOR 4,713 FRESHMEN

Nis - Taking the entrance exams for the enrollment in the faculties of the University of Nis began on June 29 and will last until July 5. In the first year of basic academic studies, there are vacancies for 4,713 freshmen, of which 3,203 are for students funded from the budget and 1,510 for self-financing students.

As every year, there is great interest for the study programs of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Nis, as well as for the studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Nis.

“The Faculty of Philosophy in Nis is enrolling 620 freshmen this year, too, 300 students studying on the budget and 320 self-financing ones ", says Natalija Jovanovic, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Nis.

"On the second day of applying, we exceeded the number of 800 candidates," she added.

The taking of entrance exams will be organized in accordance with the prescribed measures.

“Candidates who take the entrance exam will have to wear masks, and the faculty has already provided a sufficient number of them ", says Natalija Jovanovic, PhD. "We will comply with all the prescribed standards, and there will be a specific distance between the candidates. It is very important for us to protect our employees and students."

The taking of exams at other faculties will be organized in the same manner. The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Nis says that they are ready for future freshmen.

“During the weekend, all the rooms at the faculty where the candidates who take the entrance exams, as well as the professors, are going to be, will be disinfected ", says Nenad T Pavlovic, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The enrollment of students in all faculties must be completed by July 17, so that the information on the number of enrolled students and the number of remaining vacancies at the University could be submitted by July 20. Those who fail to get enrolled in the desired faculty in the June enrollment period will be able to apply again during the second enrollment period at the beginning of September.
