Nis – The international “Civil Rights Defenders” organization extended to January 26 the enrollment deadline for the first generation of students of the school for the future defenders of human rights. The school will begin in February 2015 and will run for the next seven months. During that period, participants will have weekly lectures during which standards of human rights, transitional justice, freedom of expression, the right to bodily integrity, standards of fair trial and human rights of Roma and the LGBT community will be discussed.

Participants from South Serbia will attend the school in Nis, while those from Belgrade and surrounding areas will attend it in Belgrade.  

The school for the future defenders of human rights is intended for students of social sciences, young lawyers, journalists, activists of civil society organizations, as well as for all others who intend to get engaged in professional organizations dealing with the protection of human rights.
