EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND IN SERBIA: CALL FOR SUBMITTING PROJECT PROPOSALS - SMALL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (DEADLINE: JANUARY 25, 2019)

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Serbia issued a call for submitting project proposals to be implemented within the framework of the so-called small development projects (formerly known as Small Grants).

30,000 euros were approved for the implementation of projects in Serbia this year.  The deadline for submitting project proposals is January 25, 2019, and they must be submitted electronically to the following addresses belgrad.amb.sekretariat@msz.gov.pl and karolina.janik@msz.gov.pl.

The following may apply for project financing:

  • Non-governmental organizations;
  • Institutions of public importance;
  • Public institutions at the central and local levels;
  • Catholic religious missions and local centers of other religions, as well as religiously motivated organizations. 

The projects should contribute to improving the conditions for developing and strengthening the potential of a particular community. The project should unambiguously demonstrate the impact on the users and be fully implemented (including monitoring by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Serbia) until the end of the calendar year. The results of the project should be sustainable after the completion of the project.  All projects should contribute to the implementation of the four thematic priorities stated in the Multi-Annual Development Cooperation Program 2016-2020, which are as follows: human capital, entrepreneurship and the private sector, sustainable agriculture and rural development and environmental protection.

1. Human capital:

  • Improving the quality of health care;
  • Inclusive education and access to higher education;
  • Civic education;
  • Social integration of the persons belonging to vulnerable groups;

2.   Entrepreneurship and the private sector:

  • Competitiveness and innovation of micro and small enterprises;
  • Social entrepreneurship;
  • Entrepreneurship, with a focus on women's and youth entrepreneurship;
  • Training and professional development; 

3. Sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas:

  • Food safety;
  • Strengthening the capacity and competitiveness of agricultural production;
  • Access to the market;
  • The use of modern technologies in agriculture;
  • Modernization of the local infrastructure;

4. Environmental protection:

  • Renewable energy;
  • Energetic efficiency;
  • Management of water resources;
  • Waste management;
  • Preventing the consequences of natural disasters and those caused by man;
  • Promotion of sustainable development;
  • Combating climate changes and their consequences;
  • Protection of natural resources.
