ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM BUJANOVAC PARTICIPATED IN THE "RACE FOR A HAPPIER CHILDHOOD"

23. October 2017.

Bujanovac - The traditional "Race for a Happier Childhood", organized by the Red Cross of Bujanovac, was held at the Bujanovac city stadium. As in previous years, over 200 students of the “Branko Radicevic” elementary school participated in the humanitarian activity.

“Participation in the race encourages humanism and tolerance in children, while it also promotes a healthy lifestyle, "Natalija Stanković, a school teacher, said.

Boys and girls, students of all grades of the school, spent 50 dinars on purchasing a coupon that enabled them to participate in the race, with the aim of collecting humanitarian aid for needy  children.

“The most important reason for holding the "Race for a Happier Childhood" was to raise funds for the children who needed financial assistance badly. Students purchased coupons at a symbolic price of 50 dinars each and thus directly helped their friends. In addition, they spent their time with other children and recreated themselves,” Ms. Stankovic said.

The length of the racetrack depended on the age of the schoolchildren, while their classmates, teachers and many parents cheered them.
