DR. TIODOROVIC: EXTREMELY DIFFICULT SITUATION IN VRANJE, SPAS ARE PREPARING FOR COVID PATIENTS

14. July 2020.

Nis, Vranje - Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic said for the Radio and Television of Serbia that the situation in Vranje was extremely difficult, and that there were almost 350 newly examined people, as well as 111 people with some form of pneumonia in that city.

Dr. Tiodorovic said that because of that, additional capacities would probably be provided in Vranjska and Bujanovacka Spas, as well as that the Clinical Center in Nis, for the time being, had enough beds for potential patients.

"We, from the Clinical Center in Nis, will still be able to meet the needs of the southern Serbia region," Dr. Tiodorovic said.

According to him, the most difficult situation was still in big cities, while small towns had a better epidemiological picture.

Dr. Tiodorovic said that the situation in Nis was under control, but also that two COVID-surgeries in that city examined 400 people on Sunday.

He also said that the hospital in Aleksinac was being prepared for COVID patients and that it was proposed that Gamzigradska Spa should become a COVID center in eastern Serbia.
