27. July 2020.

Vranje, Bujanovac - With the support of the British Embassy in the Republic of Serbia, and in partnership with A11 – the Initiative for Economic and Social Rights NGO, the Vranje Human Rights Committee has launched a large-scale humanitarian campaign for distributing 40 aid packages, which are, due to the KOVID-19 pandemic, intended for  vulnerable women and girls with the experience of domestic violence in Vranje and in the poor southern Serbian municipalities  of Bujanovac, Vladicin Han, Surdulica and Leskovac.

For some women, this is the first aid package that they have received since the outbreak of the global corona crisis.

“Respecting the dignity and human right of personal choice, the donation of the British Embassy in Belgrade enabled every woman to personally choose the most necessary foodstuffs, chemicals for maintaining hygiene and personal hygiene products in the market ", the board stated.

The amount of groceries and other funds will be sufficient for the next two months, confirmed the beneficiaries of this humanitarian donation from the people of Great Britain, which ensures the performance of daily life obligations towards the family and children.
