DEPARTMENT OF THE MEDICAL HIGH SCHOOL FOR PROFESSIONAL STUDIES FROM CUPRIJA TO BE OPENED IN VRANJE

Vranje - The agreement on the opening of the department of the Medical High School for Professional Studies from Cuprija in Vranje was signed by Slobodan Milenkovic, PhD, the Mayor of Vranje, Hristos Aleksopulos, MD, the Director of the Medical High School in Cuprija and Ljiljana Djordjevic, Director of the High School of Applied Professional Studies in Vranje.

Mayor Milenkovic said that he was pleased with the beginning of business and technical cooperation and with the opening of the department of the said school in Vranje

"I know that students of the secondary medical school are greatly interested in continuing their education at this very institution. The school has an outstanding reputation, tradition and professional staff. We can, under this Agreement, count on the enrollment of 80 students in the 2018-2019 school year, "Mr. Milenkovic said. 

According to him, the students from all over South Serbia, but also those from other regions of the country, will be able to attend classes at the said school.

Hristos Aleksopulos, the Director of the Medical High School in Cuprija, said that that the school dealt with the education of healthcare professionals. The school has, so far, existed for 20 years, while a large number of students come from South Serbia.

“We should increase the percentage of nurses with degrees obtained from the Medical High School because South Serbia needs them. We started with the general course, but there are plans to introduce new courses for physical therapists and occupational radiological technicians, "Mr. Aleksopulos said.

Ljiljana Djordjevic, the Director of the High School of Applied Studies in Vranje, said that the two schools had a great deal in common.

“Our school has the appropriate classrooms, laboratories and the equipment, as well as some teachers who could help the Medical High School from Cuprija with the accreditation process and with the implementation of the curriculum, "Ms. Djordjevic said.
