DEFENSE MINISTER IN SOUTH SERBIA

Presevo - Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic visited the “Cvore” military base, which is located near Presevo, on Sunday. On that occasion, he said that the Army of Serbia had raised the level of combat readiness and that it was, along with other security structures, ready to defend the state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We, together with other security structures of the Republic of Serbia, are ready to respond to all the challenges that might threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and its citizens,” said Minister Gasic.

He visited the “Cvore” military base, which is the most prominent point between Presevo and the Serbian-Macedonian border, together with the Director of the Military Security Agency (MSA) Petar Cvetkovic, the Commander of the Army, General Milosav Simovic, the Director of the Security and Information Agency (SIA) Aleksandar Djordjevic, the Deputy Commander of the Gendarmerie Mr. Ilic and with the Deputy Head of the Police Department in Vranje Sladjan Velinovic.

Minister Gasic then paid a visit to the border police at the Presevo border crossing.
