CURFEW HAS BEEN INTRODUCED, PERSONS OVER 65 YEARS OF AGE PROHIBITED FROM LEAVING THEIR HOMES

The Government of the Republic of Serbia stated that a curfew had been introduced in the Republic of Serbia on Tuesday evening. 

This measure will be valid from Wednesday morning, while the curfew or the prohibition of any moving around will be valid from 8pm today until 5am the next day.

The measure will be effective in the future and is not limited in terms of time.

At the same time, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has banned the citizens who are more than 65 years old from moving outside the home at any time of the day.

When it comes to residents of the settlements with fewer than 5,000 people, this ban applies to those who are over 70 years of age.

These latest measures of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to fight against the spread of the corona virus will be effective from Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Exempted from these measures are those who have third shift jobs.

With the latest decree, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has decided that the parliamentary elections scheduled for April 26 are to be adjourned, that all election activities be stopped and that no deadlines are running. 

The final decision on the election will be reached later, depending on development of the situation.
