Bujanovac – The owners of fifteen small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs from the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, who had participated in the Coordination Body Office’s call for applications, were awarded 40 million dinars in grants, which is an incentive for further development of their companies and the creation of more jobs.

Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body, said that the award of grants, for the fifth consecutive year, was a proof of the economic development of those three municipalities. He added that a total of over 2 million euros had been allocated to the three municipalities over the five-year period.

Our priority is to have as many people as possible employed. So far, over 200 people got employed at the companies to which grants had been allocated and we should continue going along that path in the future, too. As regards the control of proper spending of the allocated funds, I have to point out that it is ongoing, "Mr. Stankovic said.

The event was attended by the Mayors of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Sciprim Arifi, Saip Kamberi and Nebojsa Arsic. They addressed representatives of the companies that had received the subsidies and pointed out that such care of the government meant a lot to those three municipalities in southern Serbia. They called on the entrepreneurs from their municipalities to actively engage and participate in the calls for applications issued by other ministries and funds.
