CONSTRUCTION OF GAS NETWOK IN LESKOVAC BEGINS

Alexander Konuzin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia, and Slobodan Kocic, Mayor of Leskovac, marked the beginning of the construction of a distribution gas network in Leskovac.

In September 2010, „Jugrorosgas” started building the Nis-Leskovac section of the gas line, or the MG 11 Nis-Leskovac-Vranje main pipeline.

The investment of around 225,000 EUR was planned for constructing the distribution network in Leskovac, which goes as far as the city’s heating plant and a large number of other consumers. A distribution network, which is around 57 km long, will be constructed in the first phase of the project, while a lot of industrial consumers will be connected to it, while the completaion deadline is in 2.5 months.

Ambassador Konuzin and Leskovac Mayor Slobodan Kocic pointed out that the completed distribution gas network would contribute to the opening of new industrial plants or factories and that it would speed up the development of Leskovac and the entire South Serbia.
