CLASSES IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN SERBIA WILL BE COMPLETED ON MAY 31

29. April 2020.

Belgrade - Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic said classes in primary and secondary schools in Serbia would be completed on May 31.  He told the Prva Television that lectures at the faculties would be completed around May 15 and classes for primary and secondary school graduates on May 25.

“From June 1, we can complete some jobs individually and in small groups, since we will be having final and entrance exams then,” the Minister said.

While speaking about kindergartens and the starting of classes, Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic stated that it was too early to make a decision on when preschool institutions would start operating. As he said, students would have to be sensible and wait for the corona virus story to relax a little.

“The prom can also be celebrated at the end of June, and June 28, which Vidovdan, is a good date. If it is done in a schoolyard, the prom can be celebrated with masks on, or maybe without masks on, so that the children would not have to go to hotels. Girls and boys can dress up, come to school and take photos of them, while their parents will have a memory of that day, and everyone will enjoy themselves a little. If, of course, we will be able to do it”, Minister Sarcevic said.
