CHILDREN FROM MEDVEDJA IN BELGRADE

28. June 2016.

Belgrade – Goran Vesic, the City Manager, hosted yesterday at the Old Palace children from the “Mladost” pre-school institution from Medvedja, who were paying a one-day visit to Belgrade.

Pointing out that Belgrade didn’t belong only to Belgraders, but also to all citizens of Serbia, Goran Vesic welcomed the youngest residents of Medvedja:

“I believe this is just the beginning of cooperation between Medvedja and one of our city municipalities, while I also trust that children from Belgrade should visit Serbia in order to get to know their country. Belgrade has a special responsibility to work on the development of municipalities in Serbia, especially in the context of exchanges of young people and cultural cooperation. Today, the children had the opportunity to see a significant part of the Serbian history at the Old Palace and I hope that the practice of mutual visits would continue in the future,” the City Manager said.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, expressed satisfaction with the visit and underscored that he wished Belgraders visited the municipality of Medvedja, too. Mayor Arsic singled out beautiful countryside as a special quality of the municipality of Medvedja, as well as that of Sijarinska Spa, Devil's Town, Justiniana Prima, Prolom Spa and others, which that area is well-known for.

Apart from the Old Palace, the children from Medvedja visited the municipality of Vozdovac, Mt. Avala Tower and Jajince, the Belgrade zoo and Kalemegdan Park.
