CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANIZED IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja – The Sports Association of Medvedja, in cooperation with the Chess Club "Gornja Jablanica", organized a chess chanpionship in the municipality of Medvedja. Twenty competitors applied for taking part in it. Over the two chess days and seven chess competition rounds, the competitors checked out their knowledge of and their skills in this ancient game.

The title of the winner of the championship, as well as a cash award of 15,000 dinars, was won by Dragisa Knezevic. The second place and a prize of 10,000 dinars was won by Dejan Blagojevic, the third place and a prize of 8,000 dinars was won by Danilo Doderovic, the fourth place and a prize of 6,000 dinars was won by Slobodan Lakicevic, while the fifth place and a prize of 4,000 dinars was won by Branislav Manasijevic, who shared his prize with the youngest participant in the championship - Relja Miletic.

A prize of 2,000 dinars for the best-placed young participant in the championship was won by Milan Ilic.
