CHANGES IN TRAFFIC ON SECTIONS OF THE PRESEVO-NIS RAILWAY LINE

Presevo, Nis – As of April 18, 2016, railway traffic on the Presevo – Nis  route will be changed due to the reconstruction and modernization of the Vinarci-Djordjevo, Vranjska Spa- Ristovac and Bukarevac-Bujanovac railway sections, it was said in a statement issued by the  “Trains of Serbia" company. 

The international trains that will temporarily cease to run on the Belgrade-Presevo-Belgrade route are the following: the one from Belgrade to Thessaloniki at 6.60 pm, the one from Thessaloniki to Belgrade at 6. 30 pm, the one from Belgrade to Skopje at 7.35 am and the one from Skopje to Belgrade at 8.20 am. 

Passengers can be transported from Belgrade to Nis by the Sofia train, the departure of which is at 7.35 am.  

The local passenger trains that will temporarily stop running are the following: the one from Nis to Presevo at 3.50 pm, the one from Nis to Presevo at 8:05 pm and the one from Ristovac to Nis at 10.55 am.

The trains whose routes will be altered include:

- The local passenger trains from Crveni Krst to Ristovac at 7.04 am, the ones from Nis to Presevo at 3:35 am and at 7:32 pm, which will run only as far as Leskovac,

- The local passenger trains from Presevo to Crveni Krst at 2.50 am will depart from Leskovac at 5.20 am, while the one from Presevo to Nis at 6.15 pm will depart from Leskovac at 10:48 am.

The remaining trains will run according to the current timetable.

Works on the above-mentioned sections of the railroad won’t be carried out during the summer season, so that international trains will run all the way of the transportation route, it was said in the statement.
