"CARNIVAL OF THE YOUNGEST, YOUNG AND STILL YOUNG" HELD IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja – On the occasion of the beginning of the summer tourist season, the second in a row "Carnival of the Youngest, Young and Still Young" was organized in Medvedja and Sijarinska Spa.

Upon completion of the program in Sijarinska Spa, the carnival moved to Medvedja, where all participants in the program joined the carnival parade, which included majorettes, babies in prams, children and teachers from the “Mladost” preschool institution and dance groups. The carnival parade set off from the intersection in front of the "Jovic" shop and moved down the main street towards the community center and the municipal building.

Participants in the carnival parade were greeted by the applause of several hundred residents of Medvedja that had gathered in the square in front of the community center. All participants in the carnival parade once again paraded in the square. They were, on behalf of the organizer of the event, greeted by Milan Stevanovic, and on behalf of the local self-government, by Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja.

Dance groups from Medvedja performed their half an hour’s long program in the square. At the end of the program, the Mayor of Medvedja awarded letters of thanks to the deserving participants in the event.

Great help with organizing the event was, apart from children and teachers from the "Mladost" preschool institution in Medvedja, provided by students of the "Gornja Jablanica” primary school, led by their art teacher Radmila Doderovic, who together with the staff of the tourist organization of Medvedja fixed up the area in front of the community center.
