CALL TO INFORMAL GROUPS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE "STRONG GREEN" PROGRAM (DEADLINE: UNTIL RESOURCES FROM THE FUND HAVE BEEN SPENT)

The second round of the "Strong Green" Informal Group Support Program has been launched, which is being implemented as part of the "Green Incubator" project. As part of the Program, informal groups from all over Serbia will have the opportunity to implement their ideas and projects and thus make a positive change in society. This program seeks to financially help various informal groups to become active in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development of the local communities.

Informal groups include groups of at least five people, which are not registered organizations, but have a common goal and an official male or female representative of the group. Some of the projects for which grants will be awarded include campaigns, public events, workshops, street actions, marketing activities, the development of action plans and projects, legal protection, and even more ambitious projects, such as the construction or renovation of green infrastructures, the area of which is smaller.

This is not a final list of activities - you are free to be creative as long as your group’s plan improves the state of the environment in the local community. You can send your applications from February 4 onwards, while the call will be open until the resources in the fund have been spent. This year, at least 20 informal groups will be supported, while the selection of projects will be done by the evaluation commission four times per year.

The "Strong Green" program is part of the project called "Green Incubator – the Development of Competent Civil Society to Support the Implementation of the EU Acquis on the Environment". This project will be implemented until 2022 by Young Researchers, in cooperation with the Belgrade Open School and Environmental Protection Engineers.
