CALL FOR YOUTH: "THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL AREAS"

5. December 2016.

Мedvedja, Lebane, Bojnik - At the press conference, representatives of the "Movement of Young Forces of Lebane" presented the project "Development of Youth Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas", which is financed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, as part of a public call for the programs and projects for achieving the objectives of the national youth strategy.

The project "Development of Youth Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas" will commence on December 13 by a debate in the village of Bosniac and will last 6 months.

This project is aimed at activating and motivating young people from rural areas in the field of employment, but also at improving their knowledge and skills in the fields of entrepreneurship, rural entrepreneurship and organic production, it was said at the conference.

“The first part of the project activities includes public lectures in local communities, for the purpose of informing young people about the project and the possibilities of applying for training courses, after which 80 young people, aged from 15 to 30, will be selected. They will undergo the training for starting their own businesses and preparing business plans, organic farming and entrepreneurship in rural tourism, "said Ivan Jovic, the Project Coordinator.

Partners on the project, which is worth 1.3 million dinars, are Youth Offices of the Municipalities of Lebane, Bojnik and Medvedja, as well as the National Employment Office.

“The expected effects of the project are that at least 80 young people from rural areas will undergo training and obtain the certificates, with which they will, later on, be able to turn to the existing funds and apply for grants. Those certificates will be recognized by the National Employment Office "Mr. Jovic said.

"One of the priorities of the Youth Office is employment and self-employment of the young and it is good to hear that there is an organization that can implement such a kind of project. My colleagues from our offices in Bojnik and Medvedja agree with me, so that we will gladly participate in the implementation of this and other projects in the future, "said Ivica Bogdanovic, the Coordinator of the Youth Office of Lebane.

All interested persons, aged 15 to 30, may get further information on the project on the premises of the "Movement of Young Forces of Lebane" or on their Facebook page, as well as at Youth offices in the municipalities of Lebane, Bojnik and Medvedja.
