CALL FOR TRAINING "PROMOTERS OF SOCIAL INCLUSION" FOR DISABLED SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS (DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2019)

The Association of Students with Disabilities (ASD) invites all disabled secondary school students  to sign up for the training that will empower them to become promoters of social inclusion.

The topics to be covered in the training include equality, self-advocacy, self-sufficiency and independence. Trainees will be empowered to achieve their goals, overcome barriers and fight to equalize the conditions for continuing their education.

Two training sessions will be held, which are the following:

  1. In Vrnjacka Banja, from November 14 to 16, for secondary school students from  South Serbia
  2. In Vršac, from November 7 to 9, for secondary school students from the northern part of Serbia.

The ASD shall cover all transportation and accommodation costs for the participants.

Following the training, trainees will be tasked with organizing at their school the activities for promoting social inclusion. In organizing and implementing the activity, they will have the support of a peer mentor, who will visit, guide, advise them. The Association of Students with Disabilities  will provide all financial and logistical support.

Minor training trainees are required to submit parental consent. The parental consent form is available on https://ush.rs/obrazac_saglasnosti_roditelja/

The Association of Students with Disabilities will provide a written excuse for absence from classes.

The signing-up is done by sending the completed application form, which is available on https://ush.rs/prijavni-formular-promoteri-socijske-inkluzije/, to  application@ush.rs  no later than October 31.

The training is implemented as part of the project "Peer Mentoring in Support of Youth with Disabilities in an Inclusive Society", which is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
