CALL FOR THE TENTH GENERATION OF BENEFICIARIES OF THE PROGRAM "SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE" (DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 30, 2019)

8. November 2019.

A call for the 10th generation of mentors under the "Share Your Knowledge" program was issued, which is jointly conducted by the US Embassy in Belgrade, Erste Bank, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the European Movement in Serbia.

Young women who have at least six months of relevant professional engagement (volunteering, internship, employment, etc.) from the territory of the Republic of Serbia are invited to apply. The program provides special support to young entrepreneurs in agriculture and Roma women.

The “Share Your Knowledge” program is a unique program that opens up opportunities for women's personal and professional development. It is based on the concept of mentoring, and is aimed precisely at building mutual support for women, through sharing knowledge, experiences, strengthening solidarity, promoting good role models, networking and empowering women.

The goal of the "Share Your Knowledge" program is to professionally and personally empower women in our society through the exchange of experience and knowledge. It is driven by the idea that successful and professional women, leaders from different professions, share their knowledge and experience with young women of similar interests in order to provide opportunities for young women to advance their career paths, with the intention of achieving a positive shift and laying the foundations for a sound future long-term cooperation.

Through participating in the mentoring program, mentees are given the opportunity to acquire significant networking skills, use the experiences they already have and gain new ones, get tips on how to further their careers, get tips on how to get a job or change jobs, learn about opportunities for further training and opportunities for international exchanges, receive useful advice regarding applying for competitions, training and the like.

The program will be implemented from January to November 2020. During this time, the mentor and the selected mentee will be in contact, sharing experiences and meeting periodically. It is planned to organize two roundtables where all program participants will exchange opinions and experiences and discuss different topics, three workshops aimed at additional empowerment and two public debates to be organized outside Belgrade. The events will be organized every last Saturday of the month, except in March (March 7, 2020) and July.

Mentees will be paired with mentors according to their professional orientation and interests.

Applications can be submitted until November 30, 2019.
