CALL FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF YOUTH IN THE WORK PRACTICE PROGRAM

The Belgrade Open School (BOS) calls on young people from Serbia to apply for participating in the program of quality work practices, which the BOS is implementing in partnership with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Solidar Suisse Office in Serbia and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). The program of practices is conducted for the second year in a row as part of the project "Praksam II - Introducing Young People to the World of Work through Work Practices." Over 30 young persons from 6 cities in Serbia completed the program at 16 business entities, of who 12 got jobs during or shortly after completing the practice, and another 10 continued doing the practice.

The Praksam program has been developed in accordance with the concept of high-quality professional/work practice. The application of quality standards for implementing the practice are insisted on, so that young people could gain the opportunity to quickly and effectively engage in the labor market and become competitive in the market or get to the desired job easier and faster!

The call is designed for the motivated young people who wish to gain quality work experience through practice in businesses throughout the Republic of Serbia. Apart from the opportunity for learning and gaining work experience, the Belgrade Open School will provide to the young trainees modest monetary compensation to cover the costs of hot meals and local transportation, as well as further training on work ethics and career management, and the possibility for professional networking. Each of the selected trainees will be assigned a mentor from the business entity at which the practice is carried out.

Trainee positions will be opened in 19 companies located in 6 cities. The practice lasts 4 months, from November/December 2016 up to the end of March 2017.

The deadline for sending the necessary documents and filling in application forms is October 26, 2016.
